I’ve made several empirical observations this weekend, very few of which are pertinent to this blog’s primary theme. However, I’m working on 36 hours of being confined to a comfy couch and popping narcotic pain relievers, so… what can I say? I’m bored. Here are a few truths about the universe:
- Percocet is an effective pain reliever. However, it is not consistently effective for the full six hours indicated on the label.
- Two percocets are indeed more effective than one. However, they still don’t last for six hours.
- Either one or two percocet tablets (2.5mg) taken with a twelve ounce Miller Lite beer are significantly more effective than percocet alone, primarily due to the fact that being asleep relieves pain.
- Most importantly, sleeping eight hours while taking six hour(sic!) pain reliever is a very bad idea. Waking up with no pain reliever in the system is… well, it just sucks.
Having wasted several minutes of your life with that nonsense, I feel a certain responsibility to provide some useful entertainment. Here’s a video I made a few months ago with some really neat online editing software. If you want to make your own, just go to the website listed at the end of the video.
